A realtor told deputies he found a suspicious man on property he was showing. The suspect appeared to be “high” and claimed to have permission to be there, but the realtor wanted him to leave.

▲ MUD ROAD — A deputy arrested a man on loitering/prowling charges after answering an “unwanted person” call.

▲ MARTIN SWINSON ROAD — A woman said she picked up a homeless man from “off the road” and offered him a place to stay for a few days. However, she told him to leave after her grandson tested positive for methamphetamine; she suspected he got it from the visitor. After the homeless man left, she discovered items missing and told deputies the suspect was familiar with her jewelry and where she kept it due to conversations they had.

▲ GW OLIVER/STAGECOACH ROAD — A man found where a tractor apparently dropped some planters in the roadway and damaged the road.

▲ CHANABBY COURT — A woman reported someone making terroristic threats. She was given warrant information.

▲ CYPRESS LAKE ROAD — A person who claimed to have been stalked was given information on seeking warrants.


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ SOUTH MAIN STREET — An Uber driver called police after a woman, angry over Uber policies and a cancellation fee, slapped the driver’s car. The driver feared for her safety.

▲ WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — Police responded to a welfare check and a person was taken to the emergency room for disclosed ailments.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued no traffic citations and two traffic warnings and assisted no motorists Wednesday. 

▲ ANDERSON HALL — Someone reported a person was injured.
