Police report, 7/4/19
A woman said a man stopped at her home looking for his girlfriend, and when he drove away, a second man drove by and yelled for her to tell the other driver to slow down. Then he “gave her a mean face.”

▲ Stephen Robert McDowell, 38, Main Street, Rocky Ford — suspended license, possession/use of drug-related objects, felony theft by receiving stolen property.

▲ April Harden Herrington, 37, Bermuda Run Apartments — DUI, failure to maintain lane, possession/use of drug-related objects, open container.

▲ THE BARN MOBILE HOME PARK — A man reported the theft of a black push lawnmower.

▲ BROOMSTRAW TRACE — A woman said a man stopped at her home looking for his girlfriend, and when he drove away, a second man drove by and yelled for her to tell the other driver to slow down. Then he “gave her a mean face.” She said he drove back by slowly, and so did his mother, and more mean faces were exchanged. She said the offending man threatened to shoot her in the face.

▲ PATRIOT INN — Deputies responded to a report of two siblings fighting. The older sibling, a brother, was not at the scene when they arrived.

▲ TEAL CIRCLE — Deputies responded to a reported domestic dispute in which a woman said a man damaged her car by throwing things. She admitted to having run into a fence as well. The ex-boyfriend said she showed up at his house to argue after a break-up and left, driving recklessly, striking the fence.

➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ WESTLAKE DRIVE — Officers responded to a reported domestic dispute by an alleged offender who was not on the scene upon arrival.

▲ GRADY JOHNSON MOBILE HOME PARK — A woman said neighbors, with whom she “had issues,” screamed threats at her as she walked to the mailbox.

▲ SOUTH MAIN STREET —A woman said an unknown person texted her cellphone 24 times.

In a separate incident, a driver exited a car during a traffic stop and walked, then ran, away from the scene.

▲ BERMUDA RUN ROAD — Someone reported the theft of a wallet (with debit cards and $180 cash) from a vehicle.

▲ SMOOTHIE KING — Someone reported receiving harassing communications.

▲ NORTHSIDE DRIVE EAST — While performing a welfare check requested by a third party, a subject became “belligerent” and “used offensive language” in front of children. That person was arrested.

▲ Officers issued three traffic citations, three traffic warnings and assisted one motorist.
