STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
  Arrests
Anthony Joseph Williams, 25, Quartz Way, Savannah — wanted person, suspended license.
Wanda Losha Ruffin, 34, Park Place Apartments — second-degree cruelty to children.
Crystal Evon Salinas, 35, Mossberg Circle — open container, suspended license, original container required for prescription drugs, DUI.

  Incidents
VAN BUREN STREET — Police met with a woman who said a man struck her around 7:54 a.m. Wednesday. The man said she came at him with a pipe, and he grabbed it from her and threw it in a ditch. No pipe was found. The argument was over the man taking another woman to the doctor.
IVORY STREET — A woman told police around 5 p.m. Wednesday that she was riding with a man when he struck her in the face. He refused to let her out of the car, but she jumped from it as it slowed, she said.

PAULSON STADIUM — University police and the Statesboro Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at 8:08 a.m. Wednesday. The alarm was caused by dust from construction workers.
CENTENNIAL PLACE — University police and the Statesboro Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at 11:42 a.m. Wednesday. The alarm was activated by a faulty sprinkler system.
