Police report -4-16-17; Euthanized at animal shelter six dogs and three cats

    Thelga Mahaia Nelson, 52, Metter — insurance fraud.
    Michael Dean White, 36, Nevils — felony probation violation.
    Kristin Marie Pippin, 23, Hollywood, SC — speeding.
    Osborne Williams, 41, Portal — bench warrant.

Portal Police Department
    Shawn Edward Marks, 30, Brenda Road, Twin City — reckless driving.
    Rachel Marie Fail, 32, Watson Road, Metter —  bench warrant.

    BASS ROAD — Deputies responded to a reported battery incident.
    HIAWATHA STREET — Someone reported a simple battery incident.
    MERIDY ROAD — Deputies investigated a burglary and entering auto incident.

Metter Police Department
    ELRIDGE STREET — Police responded to an entering auto report.
    ELLIS STREET — Someone reported a theft.
    BROAD STREET — Police responded to a reported shoplifting incident.
    CEDAR STREET — Police responded to an incident involving possession of drug-related objects, financial transaction card theft and fraud, and marijuana possession.
    NORTH LEWIS STREET — Officers investigated a sexual battery report.
    SIMMONS Street — Someone reported a theft.
    LEE STREET — Offices responded to a domestic dispute.

    Surrendered by citizens — six dogs and four cats from rural areas; no dogs and three cats from City of Statesboro.
    Collected by humane officers — 15 dogs and two cats from rural areas; two dogs and no cats from City of Statesboro.
    Adopted from shelter — six dogs and two cats.
    Taken in by rescue organizations — one dog and one cat.
    Reclaimed by owners — two dogs.
    Died at shelter — no animals.
    Euthanized — three dogs and three puppies (one personal surrender/aggressive; two sick/severe skin illness; three feral/will bite); seven feral cats.
