▲ SAM HENDRIX LANE – A woman said her daughter asked whether her bed had been lowered, and they discovered a mattress was missing.

▲ STILSON-LEEFIELD ROAD – A woman reported metal vents damaged or stolen from a historic train station building.

▲ CARRINGRON SOUTH – Someone stole a subdivision sign.

▲ SPELL-MINCEY ROAD – Someone reported a burglary.

▲ WILLIAMS LANE – A woman said she found items on her property (left to her in a divorce agreement) that she believed belong to her former husband. She said she did not know how long, or when, the dog kennel, two dog houses, bowls, chair, grill, push lawn mower, wagon, rake and a cooler had been there.

▲ SOUTHERN NATURE PRO – Two men argued, shoved each other and threatened each other with knives. One man asked that the incident be documented.

▲ GATEWAY ANIMAL HOSPITAL – Deputies met with two women who said she took in another female who had mental issues and was found living under a bridge. The guest have a third woman her puppy to be taken to the vet for spaying. However, the complainants learned the puppy had never been taken to the vet. They also said they suspect the woman who was supposed to take the dog has been stealing money from one of their accounts.  


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ NORTH MAIN STREET – A woman called police because her juvenile daughter was not listening and talking back to her.

▲ FAMILY DOLLAR – A woman was arrsted for shoplifting an electronic item.

▲ THE HUDSON – A man said someone stole a bottle of prescription medications from a vehicle he had towed.

▲ CAMBRIDGE AT SOUTHERN – A woman asked for an escort to her vehicle after involvement in a battery incident. She did not want to press charges.

▲ NORTHSIDE DRIVE EAST – An officer spotted two juveniles walking after school had begun and took them to school.

▲ EAST OLLIFF STREET – A man said someone in a black Range Rover stopped to talk to his girlfriend’s six-year-old son. The vehicle door was open, and when the complainant called to the boy, the vehicle sped off, he said.

In a separate case, officers spoke with a woman who had a verbal argument with her mother.

▲ UNIVERSITY POINT – An underage male was arrested for alcohol possession by consumption and taken to jail. While there, it was determined he needed medical attention and he was taken to the hospital.

▲ RUCKER LANE – A woman told police a man she did not know followed her and tried to talk to her.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued no traffic citations and one traffic warnings and assisted three motorists Tuesday.

▲ Officers issued one traffic citation and five traffic warnings and assisted one motorists Wednesday.

▲ RUCKER LANE – Someone reported a suspicious person.

▲ FREEDOM’ S LANDING – Someone reported being harassed. In a separate case, officers responded to a report of battery and unwanted person.

▲ PAULSON STADIUM PARKING – Police responded to a reported fight. There were no arrests.
