Police Report 12-30-11 - $400 and three pairs of new tennis shoes reported stolen

STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
    Daryl L. Rice, 50, Broad Street — battery.
    Barry Edman Hicks, 24, East Main Street — cocaine possession.
    Darius Jontae Adams, 24, Harvey Drive — probation violation.
    Selena Charmayne Williams, 37, Walden Walk Drive — DUI, failure to obey traffic device.
 
Incidents
    JAMES STREET — A woman said a man struck her in the face. Police noted marks on her face, including an eye swollen shut.
    BROAD STREET — A man was arrested after a physical struggle with his wife, during which she suffered visible injuries.
    BLAND AVENUE — A man reported a laptop computer, Playstation 3 and several games stolen.
    MULBERRY STREET — Police responded to a domestic disturbance.
    PARK PLACE APARTMENTS — Two men knocked on a man’s door, asked to see a photo of a truck for sale, then snatched the man’s cell phone as he looked for the photo. They struck him in the eye, he said.
    THE POINTE AT SOUTHERN — A woman reported $20 missing from her wallet after a visitor left.
    UNIVERSITY PINES — A TV, laptop computer hard drive, projector and Mp3 player were reported stolen.
    NORTH STREET — $400 and three pairs of new tennis shoes were reported stolen.

Arrests
    Bobby Lee Hazlewood, 21, Plantation Mobile Home Park — habitual violator, marijuana possession with intent to distribute, cracked windshield, unlawful use of license plates.
    Kasandra Jean Hitchcock, 18, Plantation Mobile Home Park — marijuana possession with intent to distribute, obstruction.
 
Incidents
    BEAVER CREEK DRIVE — (Statesboro) Deputies responded to a domestic call regarding an argument over teenagers being too loud.
    MAIN STREET — (Register) A man reported his neighbor caused problems by yelling at his father, then later became angry when his daughters did not want to come to her house to open Christmas gifts. The neighbor was served with a criminal trespass warning.
    RAINDROP DRIVE — (Statesboro) A man reported a TV stolen.
    PECAN GROVE MOBILE HOME PARK — (Portal) Deputies responded to a call about a woman being struck in the face by a man with a stick, Deputies learned all parties involved had been drinking in a nearby field and witnesses said the man did not strike the woman, but she threatened to  have them locked up by faking an injury and making a false report.
