▲ Between Aug. 30 and Sept. 2, firefighters responded to 22 calls, including two vehicle fires, a house fire and an electrical issue; 15 alarm calls and three public education events.

▲ Between Aug. 30 and Sept. 6, firefighters responded to the following calls:

▲ Portal — one structure fire.

▲ Register — one agency assist/structure fire, one special event. 

▲ Nevils — one rescue call.

▲ Stilson — one false alarm, one grass/brush fire.

▲ Brooklet — two false alarms.

➤ Brooklet Police Department

▲ Last week, officers responded to one report of theft by taking and one report for failure to yield when entering an intersection.

▲ Also, they issued the following: three citations for failure to signal lane change, one citation for failure to stop at a stop sign, seven citations for window tint violation, one citation for operating a vehicle without a valid tag, one citation for failure to change address on driver’s license, two citations for speeding citations, one citation for no license on person, three citations for unlawful use of wireless devices.
