Police report, 9/11/19
A man accused by a woman of taking her cell phone emptied his pockets to show deputies he did not have the phone. He later admitted he hid it under the wheel well of the deputy’s patrol car.

▲ NEWTON’S TRAILER PARK — A woman reported theft of property, not identified in reports, from her yard.

▲ SHEPPARD LUMBER — A deputy assisted in helping an older male lying unconscious on a catwalk. He stayed with the man until EMS arrived, and the man, who had awakened, was taken to a hospital.

▲ MINCEY ROAD — A woman placed her three-year-old autistic son in a car seat in the back of her Jeep and left her location, only to find she could not locate her phone. She stopped, got out, found her phone and got back to drive away. A short time later she realized her son was not in the car and panicked, calling 911. The child had escaped his car seat and the vehicle as well, but was found safe a short time later.

He later admitted he hid it under the wheel well of the deputy’s patrol car. The two were arguing over her refusal to give him, the father of her unborn child, a ride to Brunswick.
