A man reported that someone damaged fiber optic cable and copper wire belonging to Frontier Inc. by pulling back a metal plate that protected the cables running up a pole and cutting the cables. Damage was estimated at $15,000.

▲ PAINTERS ALLEY — A utility trailer was reported stolen.

▲ FRANKLIN ROAD — A man reported that someone had tried to steal his trailer. He found it in a ditch close to the road, and the lock at been cut off. Reporting deputy commented that this could be related to recent burglaries in the same area.

▲ HIGHWAY 46 at OLD REGISTER ROAD — A man reported that someone damaged fiber optic cable and copper wire belonging to Frontier Inc. by pulling back a metal plate that protected the cables running up a pole and cutting the cables. Damage was estimated at $15,000.

▲ FERNWOOD ROAD — A man reported that his stepdaughter, who had lived in his home while he was in prison, damaged the residence, shop and pool, to a cost of about $60,000 and sold a metal building from the property. The stepdaughter has recently moved away. Deputy referred the complainant to civil court, but the complainant “wanted to know how much time he would get for killing” the stepdaughter, the deputy reported. Deputy noted that he was submitting body cam footage with the report.

▲ JOHNSON STREET — A woman reported Sunday morning that she had set a birdcage containing her blue parakeet on her front porch. When she returned to the porch, the  birdcage had been  knocked over and the parakeet was missing.

▲ EASON STREET — A woman reported that her husband pushed her down. The husband told police his wife choked him.

▲ EAST JONES AVENUE — Police made a criminal trespass and battery (family violence) arrest after responding to a report of a domestic dispute.
