SWEETBRIAR TRAIL — A man awoke to find an intruder in his house. The intruder asked for “Jack” and asked whether the home was a certain address (not the correct one.) After being told to leave he did so and the complainant found nothing missing.
HIGHWAY 301 NORTH — An electronic sign belonging to the city of Statesboro was damaged, possibly by a bottle being thrown.
P.W. CLIFTON ROAD — A man said another male harasses him and others over a mobile phone game. He left a note in the complainant’s mailbox that read “Hello Trailer Trash” and has spun wheels in the complainant’s yard, he said.
OLD RIGGS MILL ROAD — Deputies responding to a domestic violence call arrested a man on charges of terroristic threats and acts.
BENT TREE ROAD — Investigators are reviewing a burglary case where a house was forcibly entered and undisclosed items taken.
EAGLE ESTATES MOBILE HOME PARK — A recently divorced couple still reside together, planning to sell the home and split the profits. The man’s daughter from another marriage sends the woman harassing texts, and the man keeps telling the woman he hates her, she said.
ELDORA/JOHN GODLEY ROADS — A man has been banned from the residence, but a woman who lives in a utility shed on the property invites him to visit anyway. A fight ensued between two men when the one banned from the property showed up. He left before deputies arrived.
Statesboro Police Department
MARKET 100 APARTMENTS — Two men argued in a parking lot, and one showed a firearm. The man who did so told police he “put his gun in his pants” because the other man threatened him.
CHANDLER ROAD — A resident said someone stole an Xbox IS and controller.
DONALDSON STREET — Police responded to a fight and advised parties involved of warrant procedures.
WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — A woman was charged with shoplifting clothing, personal items and a radio.
GROOVER LANE — A woman said a man struck her repeatedly and took her house keys.
BRANNEN STREET/GENTILLY DRIVE — A woman said another woman was following her and making her uncomfortable. The other woman said the first had been sending her harassing messages about a house she owns in Claxton and about living arrangements.
SIMMONS ROAD — A resident reported the theft of a pressure washer.
Georgia Southern University Police
Officers issued two traffic citations and one traffic warning and assisted two motorists.
PAULSON STADIUM — Someone reported a suspicious person.
