Police report, 7/3/19
A man reported seeing a young, tall man in a silver car stop, get out and walk behind the Dollar General in Portal during night hours when the store was closed. He told deputies “it appeared he had pants on but he was not sure.”

▲ DOLLAR GENERAL/PORTAL — A man reported seeing a young, tall man in a silver car stop, get out and walk behind the store during night hours when the store was closed. He told deputies “it appeared he had pants on but he was not sure.” Deputies stopped a car in the area, but no details of the stop were included in reports. Deputies who checked the store said no damage was found.

▲ HOPE BAPTIST CHURCH ROAD — A female registered sex offender called deputies after she found a message on her computer that Russians had hacked her computer and connected her to porn sites. The message directed her to call a number, which she did, and the person who answered demanded she send $240 to remove the hack. She was concerned over the porn issue because of her sex offender status.

▲ DEER RUN ROAD — Deputies responded to a reported domestic dispute.

▲ LAWRENCE CHURCH ROAD — A woman told deputies another person threatened her juvenile daughter over the phone after a dispute.

▲ EAST MAIN STREET — Officers responded to a domestic dispute.

In a separate case, a man reported his son burglarized his home.

▲ Officers issued six traffic citations and six traffic warnings but assisted no motorists.
