Responding to a report Saturday that a man was walking down these roads throwing rocks at passing vehicles and going through mailboxes, deputies found a suspect “acting very erratic.”

▲ PARK PLACE — At 10:49 p.m. Friday, a county deputy was dispatched to this apartment complex in the Statesboro city limits to assist Statesboro police after the fatal shooting that occurred there. The deputy reported transporting a witness from East Georgia Regional Medical Center back to the scene, where officers and the deputy reportedly found a spot of blood, a spent shell casing and a small baggy of marijuana behind Apartment 158.

▲ LAKEVIEW and BERNARD SMITH ROADS  — Responding to a report Saturday that a man was walking down these roads throwing rocks at passing vehicles and going through mailboxes, deputies found a suspect “acting very erratic.” In answer to their questions, the man reportedly said he thought he was in North Carolina and asked for a ride home to Virginia. He was checked out at the hospital before being transported to the jail on a charge of destroying mail.

▲ WALMART SUPERCENTER — A complainant stated that a man scanned some items but not others at a self-checkout, shoplifting the rest. The food and household items that had not been scanned were valued at $186. Police cited the man on a misdemeanor shoplifting charge and released him.

▲ PACKINGHOUSE ROAD — An officer arrested a man on a charge of false imprisonment for his reported actions toward a woman during a domestic dispute.

▲ Officers issued no traffic citations and no traffic warnings and assisted one motorist.
