▲ Patricia Ann Battle, 56, Macon — possession of methamphetamines.

➤ Statesboro Fire Department

▲ During the week of June 3-9, firefighters responded to 29 calls, including: six fires (four brush/grass fires, one lightning strike, one miscellaneous fire), 20 alarms — 18 fire alarms, two electrical issues or smoke alarms.

▲ Also, one agency assist with EMS; and two public relations/education events (show -and-tell at Belk, show-and-tell at Mill Creek Elementary-Unity in the Community).


➤ Bulloch County Fire Department

▲ Between June 6 and 14, firefighters responded to the following calls:

▲ Portal — one call for the smell of smoke in a residence.

▲ Register — two agency assists with Statesboro with structure fires.

▲ Nevils — one power pole on fire, one agency assist with the coroner, one vehicle fire. 

▲ Bay District — two vehicle fires.

▲ Stilson — one alarm call.

▲ Brooklet — no calls.

▲ Leefield — one brush/grass fire.

▲ Clito — one brush fire, one agency assist Statesboro with a structure fire.


➤ Brooklet Police Department

▲ During the week of May 31-June 8, officers responded to one civil matter and issued the following citations: one for headlight requirement violations, one for driving without a license on person, and three for speeding.

▲ During the week of June 6-13, officers responded to 14 general calls for service, issued 10 traffic citations and seven warnings, assisted four motorists, and performed several business checks.

▲ PITTMAN ROAD — Someone reported identity fraud.

▲ HIGHWAY 46 WEST — Deputies responded to a call involving harassing communications and terroristic threats.

▲ HIGHWAY 46 EAST — Deputies responded to a reported aggravated assault.

▲ MORGAN ROAD — Someone reported a burglary, criminal trespass and aggravated assault on the same block June 5. On June 7, someone from the same block reported a battery incident involving second degree cruelty to children.

▲ INTERSTATE 16 — A woman was arrested during a traffic stop on charges of possession of methamphetamine.

▲ MAPLE STREET — Someone reported receiving harassing communications.


➤ Bulloch County Animal Shelter

▲ Animals received from rural areas — nine adult dogs and six puppies, five kittens.    ▲ Animals received from City of Statesboro — seven adult dogs and two adult cats.

▲ Adopted from shelter — one adult dog, one adult cat, one kitten.
