▲ POJO’S/HIGHWAY 301 SOUTH — A man was arrested for stealing a sandwich.

▲ RUSHING ROAD — A woman sent three checks in the mail to people she owed, but they never reached their destination. She looked at her bank statement and saw they had cleared, but had been altered to be made out to a name she did not recognize.

▲ CYPRESS LAKE DRIVE — A man said he heard his back door open. When he checked it out, he found no one, but saw sandy footprints on the door step.

▲ SOUTH JACKSON ROAD — Two women fought physically during an argument about their mother, over whom one sister had power of attorney. The other sister stayed with the mother. The argument was over accusations of lies and money. One slapped the other during a verbal altercation and the other struck back with her walking cane. Deputies referred them to magistrate court.

▲ BRAD LANE — A man said his landlord came to their home unannounced and spent 30 minutes regarding a “discrepancy in paperwork.” The landlord also called repeatedly several times, and the complainant said he made his wife uncomfortable.

▲ OAKFIELD DRIVE — Deputies investigated a reported burglary.

▲ BRAMPTON AVENUE — Someone reported damage to a vehicle.

▲ HIGHWAY 46/SINKHOLE ROAD/OLD REGISTER ROAD — Police were involved in a case where a man was charged by officers, state troopers and sheriff’s deputies with several traffic violations by the same driver, who ended up arrested and his vehicle being towed.

▲ FAIR ROAD — A driver was arrested on charges of reckless driving.

▲ LANIER DRIVE — A woman said someone entered her home and took nothing, but moved things around. A bathroom window was found broken from the inside.

▲ SOUTH EASY STREET — Someone stole a mini-refrigerator. Witnesses reported seeing someone acting suspiciously but did not see the actual theft.

▲ BRANNEN STREET — A man said Verizon Wireless called him about an unpaid bill and he discovered someone had opened accounts in his name without permission.

▲ Officers issued no traffic citations and two traffic warnings and assisted five motorists Monday. 

▲ FOREST DRIVE — A person was arrested on charges of criminal trespass after officers responded to an unwanted person call.
