Police report -4-1-18; Euthanized at animal shelter seven dogs and three cats

Candler County Sheriff’s Office
    Lucio Rios Delgado, 40, Metter — driving without a valid license.
    Timothy Lachlin Posley, 44 Twin City — suspended license.
    Tonya Lynell Fondren, 48, Cobbtown — improper lane use, child seat belt violation, serious injury by vehicle, seat belt violation.
    Vernon Rhone, 51, Register — DUI, window tint violation.
    Howard Wilden Williams Jr., 64, Metter — aggravated assault.
    George Phillip Wilson, 34, Metter — theft of lost or mislaid property.
    Claude Dailey, 76, address unavailable — DUI.
    Kaneisha Treshae Spann, 38, Metter — theft by shoplifting.
    Denver Darrell Lanier Jr., 39, Metter — bench warrant.
    Cecilia Elizabeth Slater, 17, Metter — criminal trespass, terroristic threats.

Candler County Sheriff’s Department
    HIGHWAY 46 — Deputies investigated a report of a convicted sex offender not complying with state laws.
    In a separate report someone complained of a theft.
    METTER HIGH SCHOOL — Deputies responded to a report of criminal trespass to a school vehicle and disorderly conduct.
    GRICE ROAD — Someone reported financial transaction card fraud.
    FIVE POINTS ROAD — Deputies responded to an aggravated assault case.
    GIBSON ROAD — Someone reported a burglary.
    SALEM CHURCH ROAD/ST. MATHEWS CHURCH ROAD — Investigators looked into an arson case.

Metter Police Department
    SMITH STREET — Someone reported a burglary.
    BARBARA STREET — A woman asked for police patrol after someone on more than one occasion, knocked on her door late at night.
    TOM’S PAWN CITY — Someone reported a theft.
    RONNIE STREET — Officers responded to a report of theft of aluminum cans.
    MINCEY STREET — Someone reported several people fighting and someone fired a gun.
    FRED’S PHARMACY — Someone reported a shoplifting. A woman was arrested.
    DAYS INN — Police responded to a bomb threat that was discovered to be unfounded.
    SOUTH LEROY STREET — Someone reported an assault.

Bulloch County Animal Shelter
    Surrendered by citizens — 16 dogs and five cats from rural areas; one dog and no cats from City of Statesboro.
    Collected by humane officers — four dogs and two cats from rural areas; one dog and six cats from City of Statesboro.
    Adopted from shelter — seven dogs and one cat.
    Taken in by rescue organizations — three adult dogs. 12 puppies, four cats and seven kittens.
    Reclaimed by owners — three dogs.
    Died at shelter — no animals.
    Euthanized — seven dogs (five aggressive and feral), one sick and one timid/no rescue pull) and three cats (feral/upper respiratory infection).
    Fees collected — $260.
    Animals in shelter — 56 dogs and 28 cats.
