Statesboro Police Arrests

Darian Vonqueles Palmer, 24, Martin Luther King Jr. Drive – simple battery, simple assault (domestic violence), criminal trespass.

 

Bulloch Sheriff's Arrests

Joseph Willis Deal, 38, Foster Williams Road, Register – criminal attempt felony theft by taking, felony theft by taking.

Kim Austin Moore, 52, Live Oak Loop, Ellabell – battery (family violence).

Georgia Southern University Arrests

Officers issued one traffic citation Monday.

 

Statesboro Police Incidents

LANIER DRIVE – A woman said she answered an ad for a job in the George-Anne. The people who answered told her the job was filled, but somehow scammed her into depositing a fake check and sending them cash.

BULLOCH STREET – A man said two unknown men robbed him at gunpoint with a shotgun. They fired off a shot before fleeing but no one was injured.

SOUTH WALNUT STREET – Officers responding to a report of shots fired arrested a man on marijuana charges.

JOHNSON STREET – A man was arrested on outstanding warrants after a physical struggle.

PINE STREET – A man ripped a woman’s shirt during an argument about their relationship.

CAMPUS CLUB APARTMENTS – A man reported a wallet stolen from his bedroom and said LifeLock reported someone trying to obtain a loan using his identity.

THE POINTE AT SOUTHERN – A woman reported speakers stolen from the trunk of her car.

WILDWOOD VILLAS – A woman called police when her neighbor’s daughter threatened her with bodily harm.

NORWOOD STREET – A man suffered a bloody nose and punctured lip during a shoving match between him and a neighbor over littering.

UNIVERSITY POINTE APARMTMENTS – A woman said an unknown man came up behind her, choked her and fled.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. BOULEVARD – A woman said the father of her baby stayed out all night and they argued. He hit her in the mouth with his fist and held her injured leg in a leg hold. Police arrested the man.

LANIER DRIVE – A woman said a man texted her, threatening to “shove knives down her throat and watch as she died.”

JOHNSON STREET – A man suffered a broken finger when he was forced from a party to which he had not been invited and where he was unwanted.

IDEAL CLEANERS – An employee, who has since been fired, reportedly admitted stealing a total of $4,200 from the business over a period of time. She was not arrested, but promised to repay the amount and gave a first payment of $200.

 

Bulloch County Sheriff's Incidents

DYCHES ROAD – (Statesboro) A man reported the theft of several firearms from his son’s residence while his son is away.

BLACKBIRD DRIVE – A resident reported a burglary but deputies responding failed to include details in reports.

CEDAR LAWN ROAD – (Portal) A man was arrested after a witness saw him stealing a livestock trailer. The witness blocked the offender from leaving while he waited for deputies to arrive.

MCELVEENPOND ROAD – (Statesboro) A blue 1987 Mazda truck was reportedly stolen. The truck did not run and had been sitting for four years.

 

Georgia State Patrol Incidents

Georgia Southern University Incidents

Officers issued two traffic warnings, assisted four motorists, responded to four alarms and two motor vehicle accidents, and aided two sick persons Monday.
 WILLIAMS CENTER - A golf cart was reported stolen.

Statesboro Fire Department – three calls.

Bulloch County Volunteer firefighters three - calls.

Central 911 dispatchers issued the following calls Monday:

Bulloch County EMS –one accident call, one fire call and 15 medical calls.

Candler County EMS – seven medical calls.

Evans County EMS –one medical call.

Central 911 dispatchers also routed the following calls Monday: four calls to Bulloch County First Responders, a call to the Bulloch County Coroner and a call to the Bulloch County Correctional Institute.
