Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office
    EMIT DEAL ROAD — A woman called deputies after her juvenile son struck her during a dispute about his having a lighter. She said he cursed her and pushed her, and when she struck him for calling her a vulgar name, he punched her in the forehead. She said he has also shown violence with her in the past as well as with other family members. The child was arrested and turned over to his stepfather.
    GREENHAVEN MOBILE HOME PARK — A man told deputies his girlfriend jumped out of a moving vehicle and tried to cut her wrists. The woman told deputies she didn’t cut herself but had done so weeks ago. She refused to get back in the car with the man and had another person pick her up. She said she jumped out of the car after she and the man argued. Deputes noted she was intoxicated.
    NORTH POLK ROAD — A woman said a man was intoxicated, loud and punched walls.
    WESTSIDE ROAD — Deputies responding to a traffic light malfunction saw a car run the red light. Several were arrested after deputies stopped the car and found drugs and an illegal firearm inside.
    BROOKLET-DENMARK ROAD — A man found an unloaded Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun propped against a fence on his property.
    OAKFIELD DRIVE — A man called deputies after catching a neighbor’s juvenile child on his property, and finding two chairs in his pool. He said he has ongoing problems with the neighbor’s children ringing his doorbell and fleeing, and leaving scratch marks on his fence from climbing it.

Statesboro Police Department
    MADISON MEADOWS APARTMENTS — Police responded to a domestic dispute where both parties had been involved in a physical struggle but agreed to separate for the night.
    LANIER DRIVE/VETERAN’S MEMORIAL PARKWAY — An officer tried to stop a driver who fled but apprehended him after a brief chase and arrested him for fleeing/attempt to elude, possession of drug-related objects and suspended license.
    WILLIAMS ROAD — A juvenile threw a pair of scissors at an instructor at school. The Department of Juvenile Justice ordered him returned to his guardian after he was arrested.
    WEST JONES AVENUE — A city employee collecting water samples was accosted and curse at by an unknown female who wanted to know what she was doing.
    VETERAN’S PLAZA — A woman said an unknown person grabbed her son and assaulted him.
    KNIGHT DRIVE — A man said his ex-girlfriend’s current boyfriend, intoxicated, came to his apartment with three others, starting an argument and pushing him in the chest.

Georgia Southern University Police
    Officers issued no traffic citations and one traffic warning and assisted two motorists.
