Police report, 11/26/19
Investigators responded Thursday, Nov. 21 to a report of kidnapping, false imprisonment and rape. No additional details were listed in reports, except that the case is currently under investigation.

▲ Patrick Nathen Armstrong, 39, South Mulberry Street – simple assault/family violence

▲ Deantonio Shanard Edwards, 30, Packinghouse Road – parole violation.

▲ Sydney Bryce Gipson Byrd, 22, Statesboro Place Circle – DUI/less safe, failure to yield after stop.

➤ Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office

▲ UNDISCLOSED LOCATION – Investigators responded Thursday, Nov. 21 to a report of kidnapping, false imprisonment and rape. No additional details were listed in reports, except that the case is currently under investigation.

▲ BRANNEN POND/BROOKLET-DENMARK ROADS – A woman called deputies for help in getting a male to leave her vehicle because he was being disrespectful to her. When deputies asked the male for his identification and he refused, he was arrested.

▲ SILK LANE – A man was arrested for involvement in a domestic dispute, charged with battery.

▲ HUNTER’S POINTE DRIVE – A man reported a check stolen and forged.

▲ LEE AVENUE – A woman told deputies her ex-boyfriend, who had been served with a criminal trespass warning for her home, cam uninvited and was knocking in her door, wanting to talk. The man was gone when deputies arrived.

 

➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ PACKINGHOUSE ROAD – A person who had been served with a criminal trespass warning returned to the apartment complex and was arrested.

▲ LANIER DRIVE – A woman who said someone pushed her was given information on seeking warrants.

In a separate case a person was arrested for causing visible injuries to another.

▲ BELK – A person was cited and released after shoplifting a $48 clothing item.

▲ 1800 BLOCK NORTHSIDE DRIVE EAST – A woman reported a purse and contents stolen.

▲ MAPLE STREET – A woman said her boyfriend “showed up intoxicated” and pushed her.

▲ HIGHWAY 67 – A man told police a roommate “purposefully manipulated an indoor climate that placed their pets in danger” and also damaged property.

▲ POUND DRIVE – Police responded to a domestic dispute.

 

➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued 15 traffic citations 16 traffic warnings and assisted 15 motorists Thursday through Sunday.

▲ Due to the holiday schedule, activities from Nov. 24-28 will be reported in Saturday’s edition.

▲ SOUTHERN COURTYARD – Police responded to a domestic dispute.

▲ EAGLE VILLAGE – Someone reported a rape. Further details will be published upon release.

▲ MATH/PHYSICS BUILDING – Officers responded to a case of arson where a woman was later arrested.

▲ SOUTHERN PINES – A student was judicially referred to university authorities for discipline over a drug complaint. The student was not criminally charged.

In a separate case a student was judicially referred for a fight and alcohol violation. The student was not criminally charged.

▲ WATSON COMMONS – Someone reported a suspicious person.

▲ RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY CENTER PARKING – A student was judicially referred for distracted driving and a drug complaint, but not criminally charged.

▲ LOT 21 – Someone reported property damage.

▲ LANIER DRIVE – Officers arrested someone on charges of marijuana possession and failure to dim headlights.

A second person was arrested on DUI and failure to maintain lane charges.

▲ MALECKI DRIVE – Someone was arrested on charges of suspended license, DUI and no headlights after sunset.

▲ FREEDOM’S LANDING – Someone reported a suspicious person.

▲ PAULSON STADIUM – Someone reported property damage and criminal trespass.

▲ FOY BUILDING – Someone reported a suspicious person.
