A person said they were called by someone claiming to be with the Internal Revenue Service, who asked for their Social Security Number.

▲ BULLOCH COUNTY CLERK OF COURTS OFFICE – Someone passed a counterfeit $10 (ten dollar) bill.

▲ PONDEROSA ROAD – A person said they were called by someone claiming to be with the Internal Revenue Service, who asked for their Social Security Number.

▲ EXACT AUTO/HIGHWAY 80 EAST – A man reported a burglary, with tools and items taken from his shed. He told deputies about a suspicious man who had been asking questions previously about where he kept his tools.

▲ PEBBLESTONE TRAIL – A woman said she saw a shadowy figure in front of her housed and her husband found a shutter on the ground and thought someone tried to enter the house.


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ SOUTH COLLEGE STREET – Officers responded to a criminal trespass complaint.

▲ COPPER BEECH TOWNHOUSES – Someone reported criminal damage to a vehicle.

▲ BERMUDA RUN APARTMENTS – Someone reported a gas cap stolen from a vehicle.

▲ HIGHWAY 67 – A man said someone unknown to him knocked on his front and back doors, then opened a breaker panel and switched off several breakers.

▲ BELK – An employee stopped a shoplifter and recovered $265 worth of clothes that had been concealed, but the offender fled.

▲  FAIR ROAD – Management of an apartment complex called police when a man refused to leave upon request. A victim said she had been abused by him in the past and did not want him there. The man left when police ordered him to do so.

▲ WAL-MART SUPERCENTER – A person who shoplifted a $70 pair of boots was also found to be in possession of methamphetamines, and was taken to jail.

▲ LAKEVIEW AT MARKET DISTRICT – A woman reported being harassed over the Internet.

▲ HENRY STREET – A man who refused to allow a woman to leave the property was arrested after police arrived.

▲ ORANGE STREET – A person was arrested after a victim said they struck them in the face.

▲ PACKINGHOUSE ROAD – A woman said someone entered her home through a back window and “placed his hands on her.” The offender was gone when police arrived.

▲ YMCA FAMILY CENTER – A person was arrested for loitering/prowling.

▲ EAST OLLIFF STREET – A man and woman argued over custody of their two children.

▲ STATESBORO PLACE CIRCLE – A woman said the father of her child punched her car window and cracked it. The man was arrested.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued three traffic citations, one traffic warning and assisted three motorists Tuesday.

▲  FREEDOM’S LANDING – Officers are investigating a case of financial transaction card fraud.

▲ ARTS BUILDING – Someone reported a theft.

▲ CENTENNIAL PLACE – A student was not criminally charged, but instead judicially referred to university authorities, for an alcohol violation.
