Police Report - 11-20-13; A man shoplifted beer, Frosted Flakes, bananas, apples, mixed fruit

    James Emmitt Stephenson, 34, Arlington Road, Bloomingdale — theft by shoplifting.
    Patricia M. Kemp, 53, Bay Branch Road, Sylvania — theft by shoplifting.
    Gavin Maurice Williams, 26, Mikell Street — wanted person.

    ST. CHARLES PLACE — A black 2001 Mercury Cougar was stolen.
    GATA’S — Police responded to a fight and transported a man to the hospital for visible injuries.
    111 SOUTH APARTMENTS — Someone stole a laptop computer.
    FOXRIDGE APARTMENTS — Two men argued over food purchased with one man’s EBT card. One man pulled a knife on the other.
    SOUTHERN VILLAS — A woman said a man propositioned her for sex and followed her home. He then entered a nearby apartment and propositioned another victim for sex in exchange for cash. He was arrested.
    GENTILLY ROAD — Several homes and businesses were vandalized. Wall Orthodontics and Martin Chiropractic had ground lighting fixtures ripped from the ground; damaged mailboxes and flower beds.
    HOLLY DRIVE — Several residents reported vandalism. Mailboxes were damaged and a car was damaged with a Mercedes emblem stolen.
    EDGEWOOD DRIVE — Residents reported vandalism such as mailboxes damaged, flags stolen, etc.
    MAPLEVIEW PERSONAL CARE HOME — (Church Street) A woman said someone stole $200 from her purse.
    SPRINGHILL SUITES — A woman begging people for money was arrested.
    DOLLAR GENERAL/ U.S. HIGHWAY 80 WEST — Two women were arrested after shoplifting feminine items and string bikinis.
    WALMART — A man shoplifted six cases of beer, a 12-pack of beer, Frosted Flakes, bananas, apples and mixed fruit.
    STADIUM PLACE — A woman said a man punched and choked her.
    HARVEYS/NORTHSIDE DRIVE WEST — Someone damaged a vending machine and stole $20 in change.
    THE WOODLANDS — A woman called police because her boyfriend was arguing with their roommate about a friend of the roommate the boyfriend did not want at his home.
    HOBBY LOBBY — A woman shoplifted paint brushes, bottles and other craft items.

    Jordan Nathan Dekker, 18, Georgia Avenue — headlights required and DUI.

    FREEDOM’S LANDING — Two apartment residents were judicially referred to university officials for alcohol violations.
    LOT 33 — Two people on a bike were arrested when officers learned the bike was stolen.
    CHANDLER ROAD — Officers attempted to make contact with a reckless golf cart near Campus Crossings.  One occupant of the golf cart was located but the second left the scene
    EAGLE VILLAGE — Eight residents of an apartment were judicially referred to university officials for punishment over alcohol violations.
    CENTENNIAL PLACE — Officers responded in reference to an alcohol violation complaint.  One occupant was arrested and 13 other occupants were judicially referred to university officials for punishment.
    Officers issued one traffic warning and assisted   five motorists Monday.
    PAULSON STADIUM — Officers responded to, and mediated, a verbal dispute at the East Georgia State College bus stop at Paulson Parking.
    RUSSELL UNION — An incident report was taken for the theft of a bike between Nov. 7 and 13.
    PEDESTRIUM — Two females involved in a fight were judicially referred to university officials for disciplinary action.
    DINING COMMONS — Officers responded in reference to a terminated employee being disorderly. The disorderly person was advised to leave and did so. 
    THE GROVE — Officers assisted the Statesboro Police Department with an armed robbery incident.
