Police report, 10/17/19
A victim told police they were scammed by a caller demanding payment of a fine for a criminal charge. The victim did give the caller access to a debit or credit card.

▲ Jerome Carter, 29, East Main Street – suspended license.

▲ Kaitlyn Victoria Poole, 23, Rucker Lane – possession of less than an ounce of marijuana; failure to obey person authorized to direct traffic; driving without a license; possession/use of drug related objects.

▲ R. NEAL DRIVE – A vehicle reported stolen from this address was located after a crash near Mud and Black Creek Church roads. Whoever had been driving it abandoned the vehicle after the accident. The victim said she had just purchased the vehicle two days before.

▲ W. WATERS ROAD –A woman told deputies her husband’s former girlfriend, with whom he has had no contact in 14 years, harasses them by Facebook messages. Deputies saw the messages,that had been sent randomly, and stated in reports that the messages “made no sense.”

▲ SOUTH MAIN STREET – Police confiscated a counterfeit bill.

▲ BRAMPTON AVENUE – A woman said her former boyfriend harasses her and will not stop making contact with her.

▲ LANIER DRIVE – A victim told police they were scammed by a caller demanding payment of a fine for a criminal charge. The victim did give the caller access to a debit or credit card.

▲ FOXLAKE DRIVE – Officers responding to a verbal dispute separated the parties involved.
