Incidents
UNIVERSITY PLAZA — Police met a man at 1:38 a.m. Oct. 22 at Stadium Walk in reference to a theft that had just taken place at University Plaza. A white leather golf club bag valued at $175, a set of golf clubs valued at $1,100, and a bottle of Jack Daniels valued at $25 were stolen in that incident, and all were recovered at Stadium Walk. After further investigation, the man at Stadium Walk was arrested and taken to jail.
ROBINHOOD TRAIL — A man told police that 16 “No Parking” signs and eight sign posts were stolen between 10 a.m. Oct. 22 and 11:50 a.m. Thursday.
TRANSITIONS LEARNING CENTER — The alternative school’s administrator told police at 3:14 p.m. Thursday that two juveniles argued and got into a fight in the classroom. Both were arrested and taken to the police department for their parents to pick them up.
ANDERSON’S TRAILER PARK — Three women told police that between 5:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. Thursday, someone broke into their mobile home through a locked window and stole a TV, a DVD player and 18 prescription medications.
BELK — A store employee told police at 1:21 p.m. Friday that a woman tried to leave with $95 worth of household items and $1,311 worth of clothing without paying for them. She was arrested and taken to jail.
STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT — During Operation Medicine Drop on Friday, about 3,000 pills were collected in a drop box. They were submitted into evidence for destruction.
MADISON MEADOWS — Police responded at 4:37 p.m. Friday in reference to a juvenile who was shot in the arm with a BB gun. A 14-year-old was arrested for battery and reckless conduct and turned over to his great-grandmother.
In a separate incident, a woman told police that two silver Cobra .380-caliber automatic handguns valued at $250 each were stolen from her apartment between 8:15 a.m. and 4:05 p.m. Friday.
At 8:57 p.m. Friday, a juvenile male said he was attacked by two unknown men in front of his apartment. He suffered a “major injury” to his ear and was seen by a doctor, and his phone was damaged during the incident.
GNAT’S LANDING — A man told police at 10:52 a.m. Saturday that between 9:30 and 10 p.m. Friday, another man came up behind him, threw him to the ground and struck him in the right eye, leaving a small cut. The victim went to East Georgia Regional Medical Center and received stitches. He was advised of the warrant process through magistrate court.
BIGSHOW’S BURGERS AND BAR — (Lanier Drive) A man said someone stole $200 worth of tools from the saddlebag of his motorcycle between 11 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. Saturday.
EASTVIEW APARTMENTS — A woman told police at 9:53 p.m. Saturday that her live-in son-in-law came home inebriated and broke items while yelling at her. He was arrested on several charges and taken to jail.
SOUTHERN VILLAS — A man told police that a Cobra Firearms handgun was stolen from an unlocked vehicle between 11 a.m. Friday and 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
WAFFLE HOUSE — (Northside Drive East) A woman sitting at the food bar was being loud and boisterous and using obscene language, causing a disturbance, at 1:16 a.m. Sunday. An officer said the woman’s breath smelled strongly of alcohol. The woman was arrested and taken to jail.
CAMBRIDGE AT SOUTHERN-THE PALMS — A woman told police at 2:30 a.m. Sunday that while she was at a football player’s residence for his birthday, his girlfriends showed up and struck her. The woman said she was then held by two other unknown females and struck twice more. When police arrived before talking to the woman, they saw several males who had been fighting flee on foot.
A second report indicates that police responding at the same time to the complex to the report of a fight led to the arrest of a man on charges of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
WAL-MART — A woman told police at 1:56 p.m. Sunday that an unknown customer paid for a purchase with a counterfeit $50 bill.
FRED’S SUPER DOLLAR — (Northside Drive West) A woman told police at 3:43 p.m. Sunday that an unknown customer paid for a purchase using a counterfeit $50 bill.
WILLOW BEND APARTMENTS — A woman told police at 3:30 a.m. Monday that her boyfriend, who had been drinking, got into an argument with her, tore her shorts off her and slapped her in the face, causing reddening under her right eye. The man was arrested and taken to jail.
UNIVERSITY VILLAGE — A woman told police at 11:19 a.m. Friday that someone she might know used her Social Security number to secure employment at a convenience store.
HERITAGE BANK — (Fair Road) A woman told police that another woman followed her from the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office to the bank to get $300 for the second woman’s passenger. When the victim got the money, the other woman attacked her, with help from the passenger, and took the victim’s phone, a debit card and $40 cash. The offenders were later located, and the woman who had followed the victim was arrested.
STATESBORO — A woman told police at 4 p.m. Sunday that over the past several years, she has wired money to Jamaica to receive “a substantial monetary prize.” She reported this to police Sunday as a scam.

Incidents
COLEY BOYD ROAD — Deputies responded at 3:34 p.m. Monday in reference to an altercation between two men. One man said the other threatened to harm him if he tried to come onto his property to repossess his car. The other man said that after the first man and he verbally argued about the repossession, the first man shoved him in the chest. Both men denied each other’s claims. They were separated and advised of proper legal procedures.
GABIES RUN — A woman told deputies at 11 p.m. Monday that someone scattered toilet paper throughout her yard, threw eggs at the residence and left a dead possum on her front porch. She said she suspects the incident is related to “unsanctioned homecoming activities,” as her daughter is a Southeast Bulloch High School student.
JOSH SMITH ROAD — Deputies responded at 1:08 a.m. Tuesday in reference to numerous complaints of a four-wheeler’s driving. The four-wheeler was seen trying to turn around in the road and then traveling into a ditch. The driver was arrested and taken to jail.
