➤ Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office

▲ HIGHWAY 24 — A woman was moving when she returned to her apartment and saw a man inside. The man, a neighbor, said he thought she had already vacated the residence and he was checking, because usually people leave the keys on the counter when they move out. The woman apparently told deputies items were missing because they asked the man if they could check his apartment for items the woman said had been stolen. The search revealed none of the stolen items in the man’s apartment. Deputies warned the woman to lock her doors when she left her home.

▲ MUD ROAD — A man saw someone trying to steal a pressure washer from his neighbor’s residence. The complainant said the offender was a black male wearing a red zip-up hoodie, and he was with a woman. They were in a light tan or gold four-door Mazda, with a tag that had been spray-painted in a zig-zag pattern with orange paint. The car was backed up against the home when the complainant saw it,  but the suspicious man slammed the trunk and left when he was spotted.

▲ BELL/BLACK CREEK CHURCH ROAD — Someone reported a theft. Reports did not list details.

▲ SOUTHBEND DRIVE — Someone reported a domestic dispute.

▲ BIRD ROAD — A woman was arrested after a physical altercation.

▲ DONNIE SIMMONS WAY — A student at the Cedarwood GNETS special needs program was arrested after threatening and striking a teacher and making comments about endangering the school’s safety.

▲ LANIER DRIVE — Officers responded to a reportedly verbal argument.

▲ WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — Someone was cited and served with a criminal trespass warning after shoplifting clothes and jewelry.

▲ WEST INMAN STREET — When officers responded to a domestic call, the parties involved said it had only been verbal. However, a man there was found to have outstanding warrants and was arrested.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued eight traffic citations and one traffic warning and assisted two motorists Thursday. 

▲ FREEDOM’S LANDING — A man was charged with underage possession of alcohol, possession/use of drug-related objects and possession of a fraudulent ID. Another man was charged with marijuana possession.

▲ SOUTHERN PINES — Someone was judicially referred to university authorities for a drug complaint. No criminal charges were issued.
