A resident reported that a white Toyota Camry left the roadway and struck his mailbox, flagpole and a campaign sign and then left the area.

INCIDENTS

➤ Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office

▲ SOMEWHERE IN BULLOCH — A woman turned over a wallet she found in a shopping cart at the Kroger supermarket in Rincon to a local deputy after making efforts to contact the owner and then calling the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office, which advised her to call the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office. The wallet contained cash and other items, and the BCSO successfully called its owner, who said she would pick it up.

▲ LANDING PARKWAY — A deputy who noticed a parked Ford F-250 with a missing license plate called the owner.  In the report the deputy noted a “high number of license plate thefts in the area.” The owner of the truck gave a description of a vehicle he had seen pull up next to the truck, turn around the leave the subdivision.
