Statesboro Police Department
BRANNEN STREET - Officers responded to a call about criminal damage to property. Reports stated the incident also involved reckless conduct and the discharge of a firearm within 50 yards of a public highway but listed no details of the incident. The location was listed as a bar or night club, but the business name was not included. The report stated an "undetermined firearm" was used.
SOUTH MAIN STREET - Officers responded to a simple assault call. No further details were listed in reports.

Bulloch County Sheriff's Office
HIGHWAY 80 EAST - Deputies responded to an anonymous complaint of fraud in obtaining public assistance.
CYPRESS LAKE ROAD - A woman said her fiance attacked her Aug. 22 after he went outside and was cursing someone on the phone. She said she went to help him and he attacked her, causing injury. However, she did not report it until Sept. 11. She said he asked for the engagement ring back, so she left it in a vehicle's cup holder, along with a note. She also said he refused to give back her Camaro, which she left for him to repair the air conditioner. She questioned his mental health, according to reports. The man said he broke up with her because he felt she made up the accusation that he attacked her, and he does not remember or believe the incident. He said she never asked him to repair the car's air conditioner, but he wanted the ring back before he let her have the car back.
HIGHWAY 80/PORTAL - A man who was causing a scene at a home left, walking. Deputies found him, and he admitted having drunk too much and passed out in a ditch. He was arrested for public intoxication.
LAKE COLLINS ROAD - A woman called deputies to report a man dove hunting on private property. She said a woman drove past three times in three different vehicles and directed deputies to the woman's home, where they found a spent shotgun shell but no one around. The female and male suspects were listed by name in reports.

Officers issued 16 traffic citations and 12 traffic warnings and assisted seven motorists Friday through Sunday.

Georgia State Patrol
Troopers investigated 20 crashes with seven reported injuries and no reported fatalities Friday through Monday.
