▲ Justin Lamarcus Stephens, 23, Atlanta — burglary.

▲ Brittany Dawn Sanders, 22, Metter — aggravated assault.

▲ Raymond Jefferson Vance, 44, address unlisted — harassing phone calls, probation violation, theft by receiving stolen property.

▲ Diamond Mercer, 21, Metter — failure to pay child support.

▲ Trace Thomas Raposa, 21, Metter — simple battery.

▲ Haylee Elaina Williams, 20, Cobbtown — theft by taking.

➤ Statesboro Fire Department

▲ During the week of July 8-14, firefighters responded to 24 calls, including the following: two structure fires (Hill Lane, automatic aid with Bulloch Fire. Mobile home heavily involved; Rucker Lane, cooking fire, confined to container.

▲ Also, two electrical issues, one smoke/odor removal, one smoke scare, 14 fire alarms, one carbon monoxide alarm, a gasoline spill, an underground gas pipe leak, and one “show and tell” in the community.


➤ Bulloch County Fire Department

▲ Between July 12-17, firefighters responded to the following calls:

▲ Portal — one fire alarm, one agency assist with a structure fire.

▲ Register — one structure fire.

▲ Nevils — two fire alarms, one vehicle fire, one agency assist with structure fire.  

▲ Bay District — one vehicle fire. 

▲ Stilson — no calls.   

▲ Brooklet — two fire alarms.

▲ Leefield — no calls. 

▲ Clito — no calls.  


➤ Brooklet Police Department

▲ During the week of July 5-12, officers responded to one report of theft and issued the following: five speeding citations, two adult seatbelt citations, and three window tint violation citations

▲ METTER MUNICIPAL AIRPORT — Someone reported theft of fuel from an airplane.

▲ WEST DANIEL STREET — Officers investigated a report of possible inappropriate touching of a child.

▲ MLK BOULEVARD — Officers responded to reports of people fighting at the Food Mart.

▲ NORTH LEWIS STREET — A man complained to police that someone or something had been killing his chickens.

▲ LAKEVIEW DRIVE — Deputies responded to a reported aggravated assault.

▲ OLLIFTOWN ROAD — Someone reported an aggravated assault, battery, interference with a 911 call, family violence order violation and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
