A woman reported a suspicious black truck driving slowly, stopping in front of neighborhood homes, and then following her, refusing to pass even when she pulled over.

➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ ADVANCE AUTO PARTS/NORTHSIDE DRIVE EAST — An employee said an unknown person created a fraudulent return slip and received $871 back that was not due to be refunded.

▲ SOUTH MAIN STREET — Police responded to a simple battery call but made no arrests.

▲ LANIER DRIVE — Officers met with a person who claimed to have been in a physical fight with known subjects. No action was taken.

▲ ENMARKET/NORTHSIDE DRIVE WEST — Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the parking lot.

▲ WEST GRADY STREET — A person who gave false information and was walking in the roadway was arrested and taken to jail.

▲ MORRIS STREET — A man said a woman choked him during a domestic dispute, but he showed no visible injuries. He agreed to leave for the night.

▲ BURGER KING — Police responded to the area regarding disorderly conduct and report of a person with a gun. However, no weapon was involved in an altercation even though, according to police radio traffic, a man did have a gun in his vehicle. He was not charged.

 

➤ Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office 

▲ MADISEA DRIVE — A woman reported a suspicious black truck driving slowly, stopping in front of neighborhood homes, and then following her, refusing to pass even when she pulled over.

▲ SOUTH TAYLOR COURT — A man said he suspects someone tried to break into his home and said there was damage to a window screen and weather stripping on the door.

▲ HIGHWAY 67 — A woman who was having psychotic episodes, thinking her husband spied on her and was poisoning her, was sent to a hospital for treatment and evaluation.

▲ REDDICK ROAD — A man reported someone damaged a gate with a vehicle.

▲ DEPARTMENT OF DRIVER SERVICES — Employees reported a man was yelling and acting in an unruly manner, and they wished for him to be served with a criminal trespass warning.

▲ BRANNEN LAKE ROAD — A woman reported the theft of an air compressor and welder from her property. The case was forwarded to the criminal investigations division.

▲ CAROLINA TRAIL — A woman said her ex-husband called her and told her he had been pulled over and might be arrested. Then he texted “black Camaro” to her, and she said the only way he could know there was a black Camaro at her home was to look inside her closed garage.

▲ HERITAGE MOBILE HOME PARK — A man was arrested in connection to a domestic dispute in which a woman suffered visible injuries.

▲ MEADOWBROOKE WAY — A woman reported the theft of a vehicle.


➤ Georgia State Patrol Post 45

▲ Last week, troopers responded to 20 crashes with one reported injury and one fatality. 

▲ Troopers arrested 11 drivers on DUI charges and issued six citations and three warnings for seatbelt violations, one citation and two warnings for child restraint violations, and 24 citations and 21 warnings for speeding.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police 

▲ Friday through Sunday, officers issued six traffic citations and six traffic warnings and assisted two motorists.

▲ SOUTHERN PINES — On two separate occasions, someone reported a bicycle stolen.

Also, someone was judicially referred to university authorities for discipline over an alcohol violation.
