Dogs /cats euthanized at animal shelter — one adult dog (sick and rescue denied) and one kitten (needed medical treatment, no rescue available).

▲ James Preston Moore, 34, Portal — failure of driver to exercise due care, improper lane use, suspended license, obstruction, speeding.

▲ Haylee Elaina Williams, 20, Cobbtown — criminal trespass.

▲ James David Price, 43, Metter — failure to pay child support.

▲ During the week of June 1-7, firefighters responded to 21 calls, including: three structure fires (West Inman Street, slight damage by smoke; Highway 24 — automatic aid with Bulloch Fire, canceled en route; Mud Road, automatic aid with Bulloch Fire, canceled in route).

▲ Also, two vehicle fires, one trash/debris fire, one electrical issue, one smoke/odor removal; seven fire alarms, one carbon monoxide alarm, one vehicle accident, four public relations incidents.


➤ Bulloch County Fire Department

▲ Between July 5-12, firefighters responded to the following calls:

▲ Portal — one fire alarm, one vehicle fire, one structure fire.

▲ Register — one fire alarm, one vehicle fire, one assist Statesboro Fire with a structure fire, one structure fire.

▲ Nevils — no calls.

▲ Bay District — one fire alarm, one rescue call, one assist with structure fire.

▲ Stilson — one assist with structure fire.

➤ Brooklet Police Department

▲ During the week of June 1-12, officers responded to one criminal trespass call, one public intoxication call, and one underage possession of alcohol call. Also, they issued   the following citations: three for speeding, one for headlight violation, one for improper lane change, one for public intoxication and one for purchase of alcohol under age 21
