A man and woman with a pending divorce, but still living together in separate rooms, argued over watching TV in the living room. The woman threw a remote and damaged it.

▲ CLEARY LANE — A woman said a man continues to trespass on her property in spite of being told not to do so. He was served with a criminal trespass warning.

▲ PARKWAY PLACE DRIVE — Deputies responded to a reported domestic dispute involving a stolen car, harassing communications, criminal trespass and damage to a garage.

▲ BRAMPTON AVENUE — Friday, K9 Deputy Dustin Lanier and K9 partner Pike assisted Statesboro police in a chase of suspects fleeing on foot after an attempted traffic stop. Pike apprehended one suspect, who was arrested.

▲ BRANNEN DRIVE — A man said his mother’s boyfriend, evicted from a home, sent angry and threatening messages because his belongings had not been “delivered” to him. He threatened to fight the complainant.

▲ WAVERLY LANE — A man and woman with a pending divorce, but still living together in separate rooms, argued over watching TV in the living room. The woman threw a remote and damaged it.

▲ YOUNGBLOOD ROAD — A couple going through a divorce argued when the man removed a tag from a vehicle.

▲ DOLLAR GENERAL (HIGHWAY 80 EAST) — Two men became engaged in a fist fight while standing in the checkout line. They damaged several candy and snack items before leaving the scene. They were not identified.

▲ W.H. MORRIS ROAD — Deputies responded to and are investigating reports of identity fraud and elder abuse.

▲ FRANKLIN K LANE — A man asked deputies to serve his brother’s adopted son with criminal trespass after the offender continued to trespass on his property.

▲ BROOK RUN DRIVE — A man, locked out by his girlfriend because he came home intoxicated, damaged a window while trying to force his way inside. He left, walking, and was not found when deputies arrived.

▲ PINEVIEW ROAD — A man took keys to both family vehicles because he said his wife had not been paying for them. The couple had been having money problems, the woman said. She jumped in one of the vehicles when he left it running and began driving it around town. He followed in the other vehicle, their daughter said. The two agreed to separate for the time being.

▲ HIGHWAY 119 — A man said he was angry because his daughter left her kids at his house all weekend and did not pick them up in time for him to go to work. When she did arrive, there was a verbal altercation and she admitted having taken Xanax, he said. Reports did not indicate whether she had a prescription for the medicine.

▲ THE BARN MOBILE HOME PARK — Someone reported two rings and money stolen from a vehicle.


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ WILDWOOD CIRCLE — A woman reported the theft of a cellphone.

▲ MARVIN AVENUE — A woman reported being stalked by a man.

▲ WEST JONES AVENUE — Someone reported the theft of a blue 2005 Chevrolet Impala.

▲ VISTA CIRCLE — Police responded to a domestic dispute that was verbal in nature.

▲ NORTHSIDE DRIVE WEST — Someone reported a man shoplifted three 24-packs and two 12-packs of beer.

▲ WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — A juvenile was reported to the Department of Juvenile Justice and turned over to guardians after shoplifting two screen protectors.


➤ Georgia State Patrol Post 45

▲ Last week, troopers responded to 23 crashes with five reported injuries. 

▲ Troopers also arrested seven drivers on DUI charges and issued seven citations and two warnings for seatbelt violations, one citation for child restraint violations, and 13 citations and 23 warnings for speeding.
