Police Report 4-16-13: A woman reported the theft of a syrup boiler and iron tub from her yard

    Terry Moore, 26, Chandler Road — simple battery, marijuana possession, cocaine possession with intent to distribute.
    Willie Bell Canty, 42, Orange Street — battery.
    Stephon Wigfall, 43, Hodges Circle — wanted person.
    Belinda Elizabeth Hutcheson, 30, U.S. Highway 280, Reidsville — wanted person.
    Rodney Eugene Laprade, 22, Aylesbury Drive, Evans — DUI (refused test), too fast for conditions.
    Brandon Wayne Boyette, 19, Edgar Hodges Road, Claxton — theft by shoplifting.

    W&J SHOE REPAIR — A man reported being scammed out of $100.
    THE FORUM — A woman claimed she paid around $40 for two hoodies that were never delivered by the Internet company from which she ordered them.
    CVS/PHARMACY — Someone stole a duffel bag, computer bag, laptop computer and jewelry box from a car.
    KMART — A man shoplifted Jergen’s lotion, Tide detergent, razors and a candle.
    THE AVENUE AT SOUTHERN — A computer, several pairs of Jordan shoes, two purses, two watches, $900 cash, 13 pairs of designer jeans, jewelry and eight designer shirts were stolen.
    GNAT’S LANDING — A jump drive, $110 cash, purse and wallet were stolen from a car.
    UNIVERSITY PINES — A man reported the theft of a TV, Xbox and controllers, PlayStation 3 and controllers, a laptop computer, cables, and games.
    KENNEDY STREET —Police recovered three shell casings from the area after someone reported three to four shots fired. No injuries were reported.

    John Otis Hines, 34, Pitt Moore Road — marijuana possession with intent to distribute.
    Brittany Chioji Davis, 24, Morris Street — theft by taking.

    SUNVIEW DRIVE — A man said his son went to a residence where his mother was and wanted to give her an undisclosed item. The son said a man there was hostile, took the item and shoved the son. The mother later told deputies she was inside and did not witness the exchange.
    LARK LANE — (Statesboro) A purse with contents and cash was stolen from a car.
    CEDARWOOD ACRES MOBILE HOME PARK — (Register) A woman reported a delivery man told her a neighbor took possession of two pairs of shoes delivered by mail when she was not home. She does not know the neighbor.
    JOHN GODLEY ROAD — (Ellabell) A woman reported the theft of a syrup boiler and iron tub from her yard.
    PECAN GROVE — (Portal) A man said his girlfriend attacked him physically while they were both drinking. He told deputies he did not hit her, but if she returned and fought with him again, he would.
    WESTSIDE ROAD — (Statesboro) A man reported the attempted theft of an iron tub and old sink. The offender fled when caught, leaving behind a truck, which was towed.
    BROOKLET-DENMARK ROAD — (Denmark) A man was arrested after store video showed him entering a nearby residence, where a woman reported a purse and $495 stolen.
    FLOYD DRIVE — (Statesboro) A man complained about a neighbor shooting too close to his home. He said it was an ongoing feud and that angry exchanges occurred between his family and that of the neighbor. A deputy spoke with the neighbor, who said the complainant spies on his family and keeps the feud going. He showed the deputy where he was firing for sport, and the deputy found the area safe and no danger to the complainant. However, the neighbor agreed to move his firing area further away to try to appease the complainant. When the deputy advised the complainant that he did not find the man’s firing range area to be a danger, the complainant argued and said a county commissioner agreed with him. The deputy told him to seek magistrate help if his solution was not adequate.

    Christopher Earl Fries, 31, Statesboro — headlights required and DUI first (refusal).  
    Cory Blake White, 20, Statesboro Place Circle —underage possession of alcohol.
    William Paul Mickalonis, 19, Knight Drive — underage possession of alcohol, obstruction, criminal trespass. 

    Officers issued 20 traffic warnings and assisted 11 motorists Friday through Sunday.
    OLYMPIC BOULEVARD — Officers responded to the Sigma Chi House in reference to a large party with loud music, alcoholic beverages, no security and no party form permit to conduct a party.  The alcohol was put away and the party concluded.  
    EAGLE VILLAGE —Officers responded in reference to an alcohol violation.  Six occupants were judicially referred to school officials.  
    MALEKI DRIVE — Officers responded around 3:21 a.m. to the water tower site on Maleki Drive after reports of a man who was observed climbing down the water tower ladder. He was arrested.
    TYBEE ISLAND — Officers assisted Tybee Island Police with the report of a possible sexual assault that occurred in their jurisdiction.  
    KENNEDY HALL — A student cooking caused a fire alarm to sound off.
