Candler County Sheriff’s Department
    HIGHWAY 46 — Deputies responded to a reported entering auto incident.
In a separate incident, deputies responded to an aggravated assault where one man was arrested after striking the other in the head with an undisclosed object. The victim was rendered unconscious but suffered minor injuries.

Bulloch County Animal Shelter
    Surrendered by citizens — 15 dogs and no cats from rural areas; two dogs and no cats from City of Statesboro.
    Collected by humane officers — 11 dogs and two cats from rural areas; one dog and one cat from City of Statesboro.
    Adopted from shelter — five dogs and three cats.
    Taken in by rescue organizations — two adult dogs, three puppies and no cats.
    Reclaimed by owners —one dog and one cat.
    Died at shelter — no animals.
    Euthanized — five dogs (two personal surrenders/aggressive, three that would bite or involved in court cases) and seven cats (upper respiratory illness.)
