A juvenile left walking after being spanked for being too loud while she and her sister played. She refused to get into her mother’s car (the mother followed her daughter) and said she didn’t think her mother was being fair.

▲ HIGHWAY 80 EAST — A woman told deputies a man physically assaulted her, causing visible swelling to her arms and face. He also threatened her further. The man was not at the scene and she was given information on available services.

In a separate case with different people, a mother and son had a dispute and she wanted him to leave, she told deputies.

▲ OWENS ROAD — A woman reported a pothole caused damage to her car’s tire.

▲ OLD RIVER ROAD NORTH — A juvenile left walking after being spanked for being too loud while she and her sister played. She refused to get into her mother’s car (the mother followed her daughter) and said she didn’t think her mother was being fair.

▲ THE BARN MOBILE HOME PARK — A person reported a criminal trespass and theft incident. Reports made available to the media did not include details.


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ SHENANIGANS — A woman said her ex-boyfriend pushed her down. Witnesses supported her claim, but she did not wish to prosecute.

▲ WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — Two juveniles were served with criminal trespass warnings and one of them was arrested on shoplifting charges after taking several cell phones and other items without paying.

In a separate case, someone was cited and released after trying to shoplift clothing.

▲ BELK — A person who attempted to shoplift clothing was cited.

▲ Officers issued no traffic citations and two traffic warnings and assisted four motorist.
