INCIDENTS

➤ Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office

▲ PECAN GROVE CIRCLE — A man said a woman sold his TV while he was away from the residence. The pair had been involved in a court issue, where she had a TPO against him. The TPO had expired, and the woman asked that deputies serve the man with a criminal trespass warning. She refused to discuss the TV, each was given information on seeking warrants from magistrate court.

On a separate call, the same man involved was arrested on public intoxication and disorderly conduct charges.

▲ WHIPPOORWILL DRIVE  — A woman gave a man a blank check to get materials from Lowe’s to perform electrical work on her home. He had worked for her before, she said. When she asked for a receipt he told her he wanted to keep it for his records but had spent $300. The woman discovered the check had been cashed in his name for $907. She called deputies, and when they asked the man about the check, he said that included his labor and that he had cashed the check, then used some of the cash to buy the materials. He had not completed the job and said he would finish as soon as permissible by his full time job. The woman was given information on seeking a solution via magistrate court.

▲ DEKLE ROAD — A man hired another to install an irrigation system, but the two did not agree on costs of supplies or the way the employee was working. The matter was referred to magistrate court.

➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ STATESBORO HIGH SCHOOL — A student was arrested for possession of a knife at school.

▲ STATESBORO DEALS — Someone who took a vehicle for a test drive did not return the vehicle.

▲ AARON’S RENTALS — A woman said a customer threatened her by phone.

▲ CHANDLER ROAD — Someone reported being harassed.

In a separate case, officers arrested a person who had just 20 minutes earlier been served with a criminal trespass warning to a specific location. The charges were public intoxication and criminal trespass.

▲ RUCKER LANE — An officer questioned a suspicious person but no action was taken.

▲ STATESBORO PLACE CIRCLE — Someone reported receiving harassing phone calls.

In a separate call, a woman said she and another were involved in a verbal altercation.

▲ MARKET 100 — Someone reported a simple battery incident and police gave the persons involved information in seeking warrants.

▲ SOUTH MAIN STREET — Someone reported a bicycle stolen.

▲ LANIER DRIVE — Someone reported the theft of a hand gun from an unlocked vehicle.

▲ BELK — A man was arrested for shoplifting a woman’s watch and pair of shorts.

▲ LANIER PLACE — A woman said someone threatened her.

▲ CHANDLER ROAD — Officers took a report on a bicycle theft.

▲ FAIR ROAD — A man was escorted out of a church building after being found there. Nothing was reported missing.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued no traffic citations and no traffic warnings and assisted seven motorists.

▲ MILLEN — GSU K9 units assisted Millen police with an unspecified call.


➤ Georgia State Patrol Post 45

▲ Last week troopers investigated 23 crashes with 11 reported injuries. They also charged 11 drivers with DUI.

Troopers also issued the following: six citations and five warnings for seat belt violations; one citation for a child restraint violation; 20 citations and 38 warnings for speeding. One stolen vehicle was recovered as well.
