A man caught a suspicious male in his wife’s car. The suspect got out with something in his hand, warned the complainant to stay away because he had a gun and left in another car.

➤ Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office

▲ HIGHWAY 46 — A man said another driver tailgated him and swerved back and forth in different lanes after he had stopped the complainant to tell him to slow down.

▲ DEERFIELD DRIVE — A woman called deputies when her son became unruly, kicking and throwing things because she cut off his table as a punishment for misbehavior. Deputies warned the son about his behavior.

▲ OLD RIVER ROAD NORTH — A woman complained of incessant calls from her daughter’s ex-boyfriend.

▲ BRANNEN FARM ROAD — Deputies responded to a reported argument between a mother and daughter over the daughter’s friends the mother did not approve of her seeing.

▲ HAZELWOOD DRIVE — A man caught a suspicious male in his wife’s car. The suspect got out with something in his hand, warned the complainant to stay away because he had a gun and left in another car. The complainant said his wife’s laptop computer is missing.

▲ KENNEDY POND ROAD — A man reported keys, a headlamp and tire repair kit were stolen from his truck.

▲ AKINS POND ROAD — Deputies responded to a reported physical fight between two women who were in a relationship.


➤ Statesboro Police Department 

▲ STATESBORO PLACE CIRCLE — Officers investigated reports of drug activity. No one was arrested.

▲ LANIER DRIVE — A person was arrested on battery/family violence charges.

▲ PACKINGHOUSE ROAD — Officers responding to reports that someone had a gun discovered the item was a toy.

▲ BELK — Juvenile offenders who shoplifted clothing were turned over to guardians and parents after the stolen items were returned.

▲ VARIOUS LOCATIONS — Officers responded to 12 vehicular accidents Friday through Sunday.


➤ Georgia State Patrol Post 45

▲ Last week, troopers investigated 42 crashes with 11 injuries and arrested three drivers on DUI charges.

▲ Troopers also issued four citations and two warnings for seat belt violations, one citation and one warning for child restraint violations, and 10 citations and 19 warnings for speeding.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police 

▲ Officers issued two traffic citations and four traffic warnings and assisted 14 motorists.

▲ SOUTHERN PINES APARTMENTS — Someone reported a case of harassing communications.

In a separate call, someone complained of alleged drug activity.

▲ SICK PERSON CALLS — Officers assisted sick persons at the Carroll Building, the Performing Arts Center and Kennedy Hall.

▲ INJURED PERSON CALLS — Individuals were reportedly injured at the following locations, requiring police assistance: the Math-Physics Building and the Recreation Activity Center.

▲ CENTER FOR ARTS & THEATER — Someone reported a suspicious person.

▲ SOUTHERN COURTYARD —Police are actively investigating a reported rape. Further information will be published as it is released.
