▲ JOHN GODLEY LANE — A woman told deputies she found a lock to her brother’s shed on the ground, and felt someone had entered the shed without permission.

▲ LOCKETT LANE — A woman was taken to the hospital after a dog bit her several times on the leg. The dog’s owner was not home, but the case was turned over to humane enforcement officers.

▲ PIKE ROAD — A man was arrested after involvement in a physical domestic struggle.


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ EASTVIEW APARTMENTS — Officers responded to a reported domestic dispute.

▲ BUTLER/JOHNSON STREETS — A person was arrested after police found paint on the roadway, apparently intentionally placed.

▲ DOLLAR TREE/NORTHSIDE DRIVE EAST — A juvenile was arrested for stealing a packet of sunflower seeds.

▲ CARMEL DRIVE — A woman said her mother-in-law threatened to beat her up during an argument.

▲ COLLEGE PLAZA — A woman was charged with reckless conduct and abuse of an elderly person after leaving her elderly mother locked in a hot car. The victim was unresponsive and taken to the hospital.

▲ LANIER DRIVE — A man was arrested after taking a woman’s cell phone, refusing to allow her to call for help during a dispute.

In a separate case, one person threatened another with bodily harm.

▲ CAMBRIDGE THE PALMS — Someone reported shots fired, and shell casings were collected as evidence, but no injuries were reported and no suspects were found.

▲ WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — A man was arrested for shoplifting beer, water and a TV.

▲ EASON STREET — An offender was charged with simple assault and taken to jail.

▲ STADIUM PLACE — A woman told police another female threatened to beat her up if she saw her on the streets.

▲ PACKINGHOUSE ROAD — A woman was arrested after a physical dispute with another.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued 16 traffic citations, 14 traffic warnings and assisted 11 motorists.

▲ AGENCY ASSIST — GSU officers helped Statesboro police with an unspecified call on Akins Boulevard.

▲ OLYMPIC BOULEVARD — A person was judicially referred to university officials for discipline over accusations of underage possession of alcohol and possession of a fraudulent ID. The person was not criminally charged.

▲ CENTENNIAL PLACE APARTMENTS — A person was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and underage possession of alcohol.

In a separate call, someone reported a suspicious person.

▲ GEORGIA AVENUE — A person was arrested on charges of suspended license underage possession of alcohol and possession of a fraudulent ID.
