Deputies serving warrants Wednesday on metal theft charges found more than they expected when suspects had evidence of making methamphetamine. Once Bulloch County Sheriff’s investigators arrived at the Mud Road location to serve warrants for the arrest of Anthony Dwayne Turner, 38, Mud Road, they found “evidence of methamphetamine use and manufacturing on the property,” said Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson. Deputies were there to arrest Turner and Jacob Ryan Smith, 34, Ga. 67, Brooklet, for allegedly stealing and selling metal “belonging to Georgia Southern Railway” to a local recycler, he said.
