Guido Bible College starts Statesboro classes
Metter ministry opens studies to all
Guido Bible College

Located on the campus of the Guido Evangelistic Association in Metter, Guido Bible College will open the doors of an additional training site in Statesboro for the fall semester and registration is under way.

Classes will take place on Tuesday evenings, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Southbridge Community Church, 410 South Zetterower Road. The first class of the new semester is Sept. 5.

Stewart Moody, pastor of Southbridge Community Church and a Guido Bible College faculty member, is the director for the new teaching site.

“We wanted to create another teaching site and saw the potential for growth here in Statesboro,” Moody said. “This program is for anyone that has a desire to grow and learn and deepen their understanding of the Bible and Christian ministry. From a Sunday school teacher to a person in Sunday school, bi-vocational pastors to others in ministry – it’s really for anyone.”

Guido Bible College first opened its doors in 2010 and had its roots in the early ministry of The Guido Evangelistic Association. Founder Michael A. Guido, D.D., was well-known and deeply-loved for his knowledge of God’s Word and his ability to teach the truths of Scripture in heart-warming and life-changing Bible studies.

Dr. Guido traveled across the county, speaking and teaching about scripture and his ministry eventually grew to include radio and television programs, as well as numerous publications that cover the globe. Most people remember Dr. Michael Guido as “The Sower” and can recall his powerful, yet brief, enlightenments contained in his “Seeds from the Sower.”

Dr. Larry Guido, brother of Michael Guido and president of Guido Bible College, shared the purpose and mission of the college. Guido said, “Every organization is empowered by what matters most to its leaders. And what matters most to the leaders of every organization is obvious in the products they produce.

“Our matters are what matters most because they influence and inspire us, define and drive us, enable and empower us, guide us and guard us. The product of Guido Bible College is to make disciples who in turn will make other disciples.

“So what matters at GBC? Scripture matters. Salvation matters. Studies matter. Service matters. And in the final analysis, what matters most to all of us is the ultimate matter: to exalt Christ.

“The Guido Bible College exists to educate, equip, enable and empower individuals with skills and knowledge to promote and proclaim the gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, through worship, evangelism, discipleship and service through the local church as a vocation or avocation in a worldwide ministry to advance the kingdom of God.”

Programs of instruction at Guido Bible College include an Associates of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies, Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies and Christian Ministry and Master of Arts in Biblical Studies and Christian Ministry.

Guido Bible College classes continue on the college’s campus in Metter, as well, and those classes begin Sept. 7.
