Mr. and Mrs. Mark Steven Wood of Macon announce the engagement of their daughter, Bethany Lynne Wood, to Stephen Sean Fox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Reed Fox of Statesboro.
The wedding is planned for June 16 at the First Baptist Church in Statesboro.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Frieda H. Byrd of Macon and the late Rev. Nathan C. Byrd Jr. Her paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Billy B. Wood of Cleveland. Miss Wood, an education major at Georgia Southern University, will graduate in May of this year. She is currently student teaching at Brooklet Elementary School.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Newton of Statesboro, Mr. and Mrs. Edward S. Fox of MacClenny, Fla., and the late Ann Holt Fox of Statesboro. Mr. Fox is a 2006 graduate of Ogeechee Technical College. He is currently employed by Pope Construction Company of Statesboro.
