Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy and Susan Merritt of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Brooke Merritt of Statesboro, to Jay Robert Clarke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy and Janice Clarke. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of James and Barbara Lambert and Jim and Brenda Merritt, all of Alabama. She is the great-granddaughter of James and Alice Lambert of Huntsville, Ala.
