Mr. & Mrs. Jared Rahn
    Erika Wyatt Bigwood of Brooklet, Ga., became the bride of Jared Bruce Rahn of Springfield, Ga., during a 3:00 p.m. family wedding ceremony on July 25, 2009. The wedding took place at Laurel Hill Lutheran Church in Clyo, Ga.    The groom's maternal grandparents, parents and maternal aunts and uncles were married at Laurel Hill Lutheran Church, and the groom is a member of the Church's Council. Laurel Hill Lutheran Church continues to be Mr. and Mrs. Rahn's home church. Pastor Dave Hendrix was the officiant for the ceremony. The crucifer was Marshall Edwards and the acolyte was Jesse Edwards, both cousins of the groom.
    Mrs. Rahn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bigwood of Metter, Ga. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Kermit Clifton of Brooklet, Ga., and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ray Henry Bigwood of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
    Mr. Rahn is the son of Mr. Bruce Edwin Rahn and Mrs. Janice Edwards Ford and Mr. Douglas Jay Ford of Springfield. He is the grandson of Mr. William Austin "W.A." Rahn of Rincon, Mr. and Mrs. James Exley Edwards and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Eustace Ford, all of Springfield.
    Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a three-quarter length dress with a sweetheart neckline. The bodice of the dress was hand-appliquéd with lace from the bride's mother's wedding gown and hand-beaded with iridescent pearls. The skirt and bodice lining were made of raw silk. The bride also wore her mother's Renaissance-style headpiece and veil. A delicate spray of fresh flowers was worn across the toe of the bride's ballerina style, open-toed shoes. The bride carried a bouquet of calla lilies and delphinium and her great-grandfather's handkerchief (Mr. Julian Hobson Wyatt) was wrapped around the stem of the bouquet.
    The matron of honor was Allison Lightsey, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kristin Whitman and Susan McDonald, both cousins of the bride; and Erin Rahn, sister of the groom. The bridesmaids each wore a dress of their choosing that was pastel in color and carried bouquets of calla lilies.
    The groom's best man was his father, Bruce Rahn. Groomsmen were Clifton Bigwood, brother of the bride; Dustin Ford, Jake Ford and Jason Ford, all brothers of the groom.
    The groom's aunt, Julie Hynes, played the organ and piano during the prelude of the ceremony. The soloist was Keith Martin, longtime friend of the father of the groom. The pianist was Donna Brigman, close family friend of the bride's family. The readers during the ceremony were David Bigwood, uncle of the bride; and Bob Hynes, uncle of the groom. The greeters were Mr. and Mrs. Alan Heidt, aunt and uncle of the groom; and Morgan Heidt, cousin of the groom, kept the guest book.
    Following the marriage ceremony, a reception was held in the church's social hall. Cake and ice cream were served.
    The couple honeymooned in Charleston, S.C., and now resides in Springfield.
