Mr. and Mrs. William Glenn Davis of Statesboro, Ga., are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Natalie Brooke Davis of Atlanta, Ga., to John David Gifford, son of Mr. William D. Gifford and the late Molly Motes Gifford of Macon, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Sue H. Jordan and the late Rev. Clyde Lee Jordan of Reidsville, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Ben H. Deal and the late William O. Davis Jr. of Brooklet, Ga. Brooke is a 2004 honor graduate of Statesboro High School and a 2008 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia. With the distinctions of Highest and First Honors, she was conferred degrees in both Microbiology and Psychology. While at Georgia, Brooke was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and is now actively involved in Atlanta's alumni association. Brooke is currently a medical student at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur G. Motes Jr. of Macon and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Gifford of Atlanta. John David is a 2004 graduate of Stratford Academy in Macon. In 2009, he graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University and was conferred degrees in History and Political Science. He is currently employed by Lowendick, Cuzdey, Ehrmann, Wagner, Stine, Sansalone, and Bobe, LLC in Alpharetta, Ga., and will enroll in law school in the fall of 2011.
    The couple plans to wed on June 26, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Statesboro.
