Mr. and Mrs. Albert William “Bill” Akins of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay Ann, to James Nathan Hodges of Reidsville, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Ricky Hodges of Reidsville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Dempsey “Bill” Tucker and the late Mr. Tucker of Statesboro and Mrs. Paul Datus Akins and the late Mr. Akins of Statesboro. She is a 1998 graduate of Statesboro High School, a 2002 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a BS in therapeutic recreation and a 2007 graduate of Troy State University with a master’s in education. She is an alumna of Phi Mu Sorority and is currently employed at Southeastern Technical College in Vidalia.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. James M. “Jimmy” Kennedy and the late Mr. Kennedy of Reidsville and G.B. Hodges and the late Mrs. Hodges of Reidsville. He is a 1998 graduate of Pinewood Christian Academy, a 2000 graduate of Swainsboro Technical College and a 2001 graduate of East Georgia College. He is a partner in Hodges Brothers Enterprises, Inc.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 23, 2007, at 6 p.m. at the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church.
