W wild ride FAIR LS 102217 3730
A group of Statesboro High School students enjoy the thrill of the Free Fall ride during the 2017 Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair Tuesday.
The 56th annual Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair brought popular favorites, some new attractions and a new safety program for kids to the fairgrounds on Highway 67. In addition to all that, the fair featured several new acts for nightly live entertainment, as well as crowd favorites Rosaire's Racing Pigs, a balloon/magic act and Sam's Path Petting Zoo. The seven-county agricultural fair showcased a large midway with rides, and food and games, along with the Heritage Village and Aldrich House farmyard, and commercial exhibits that featured arts and crafts projects, baked goods, agricultural crops and a livestock barn with nightly shows.
