    Remaining tickets for away games at Appalachian State on Oct. 26, and at Florida on Nov. 23, are available for purchase beginning Moday.
    Tickets for the game against the Mountaineers at Kidd Brewer Stadium, after the Eagles’ bye week, are $37.50 each. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
    Tickets for the Florida contest are $52.50 each. A kickoff time for that game will be announced at a later date.
    Tickets for both Appalachian State and Florida may be purchased at the Cowart Building with cash, American Express, Discover, MasterCard or VISA or by phone with credit card payment. Ticket sales will take place during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. through 5 p.m., Monday through Friday through at the Athletics Ticket Office at 203 Lanier Drive location.
    Georgia Southern-Florida game tickets are on sale at GSEagles.com with major credit cards listed above accepted.

12 GSU softball players recognized
    Georgia Southern Softball earned 12 slots on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s All-America Scholar-Athlete list. As a squad, Georgia Southern posted a 3.33 team GPA which ranked second in the Southern Conference and first among current and future Sun Belt programs.
    Seniors Alexa Lewis, Andrea Tarashuk and Tabby Douberley headlined the list which included Breigh Findlay, Brooke Red, Gabby Story, Kaitlyn Johnson, Lexi Allen, Marla Thompson and Nicole Benton.
    Red and Thompson each posted perfect 4.0 GPAs for the year.
    The award was given to any player submitted by a member coach who achieved a 3.50 grade point average or higher during the 2012-13 academic year.

SEC honors UGA's Morgan, Burnette
    BIRMININGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Georgia placekicker Marshall Morgan was named the Southeastern Conference special teams player of the week.
    Morgan kicked the game-winning 42-yard field goal in No. 7 Georgia's overtime win over Tennessee and scored 10 points. Offensive line honors went to Georgia guard Chris Burnette.
