Lady Eagles try for 200th SoCon win today at Hanner

    Getting Southern Conference win No. 200 is getting tougher for Georgia Southern’s Lady Eagles.
    The Eagles, 199-130 in their 19th year in the SoCon, will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak at 5 p.m. today when league-leading Appalachian State (16-3, 10-1) visits Hanner Fieldhouse. 
    Appalachian State is 20-6 in its last 26 conference games, including a 64-45 win over GSU (7-14, 3-9) earlier this season.
    Facts and Figures: Appalachian State’s Anna Freeman leads the conference in scoring at 15.8 points per game, and is 61-for-69 shooting from the foul line. The Mountaineers have won eight of their last nine games, losing only to Davidson. The Lady Eagles' bench players have scored 16, 18 and 25 points in the last three games.
