Georgia Southern sophomore Paola Garrido has been named the first Southern Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for the 2012 spring season. The Vigo, Spain, native is a 8-0 playing No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles with Caitlin Kitchen and Mimi Bollaci.
Garrido has led the Eagles to a 2-2 record to start the season. She has dropped only one set while recording singles victories. Garrido is 3-0 in doubles play when partnering with Kitchen, and she notched a win with Bollaci against Presbyterian.
