A woman complained that a man across the street yelled “BOO” at children. The man admitted doing so because the children were “being loud and running up and down the roads.”

▲ HIGHWAY 80 WEST — A woman, accompanied by an interpreter, told deputies she feared the father of her child would take her child to Mexico. He threatened to get the child and have her deported, she said. The child suffered a bruise while with the father and she said he did not use a car seat.

▲ CYPRESS LAKE MOBILE HOME PARK — Someone called deputies regarding a juvenile who was unruly and broke a window.

▲ COWBOY WAY — A woman complained that a man across the street yelled “BOO” at children. The man admitted doing so because the children were “being loud and running up and down the roads.”


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ BEL AIR DRIVE — A woman said a man opened a door on her, struck her in the chest and pulled her hair. She was given information on seeking warrants and about Safe Haven, a safe shelter for women.

▲ CEDARWOOD GNETS PROGRAM — Police were called to the school on Donnie Simmons Way in response to a student who reportedly attacked another person, an employee of the school. According to information transmitted over police radio, the victim suffered kicks and punches. Bulloch County EMS also responded. The juvenile offender was detained and later, after consultation with the Department of Juvenile Justice, returned to parents.

▲ Officers issued one traffic citation and one traffic warning and assisted one motorist Wednesday.

▲ GEORGIA AVENUE — Officers are investigating a reported battery.

▲ FREEDOM’S LANDING — Someone reported a suspicious person.

Also, police are investigating a reported theft by deception.
