▲ HIGHWAY 46 — A woman reported the theft of a .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun from her home.

▲ ZIP-N-GO/HIGHWAY 67 — A woman left her grandchild at the store to teach her a lesson after he child struck her car in anger. The child was angry because another juvenile was sitting in the front seat.  A man driving the same car the grandmother had been driving returned for the child, who appeared to be afraid of him, said the store clerk. 

▲ OLD GROVELAND ROAD — A woman called deputies after a former boyfriend left a pull-behind camper on her property. She had been told by a person she did not identify that there were stolen items inside, and she did not want the camper on her property if that was the case.

➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ COLLEGE PLAZA — A man and a woman previously served with a warning were arrested for begging.

▲ ZETTEROWER AVENUE — A woman aid someone stole her purse from a laundromat.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued six traffic citations and no traffic warnings and assisted no motorists Tuesday. 

▲ SOUTHERN COURTYARD — Officers investigated a drug complaint.

▲ CENTENNIAL PLACE — A person was arrested after giving an officer a fake ID.

In a separate call officers addressed a drug complaint.

▲ UNIVERSITY VILLAS — Someone was arrested for underage possession of alcohol and possession of a false ID.

▲ CHANDLER ROAD — A person was judicially referred to university authorities for discipline over an alcohol violation.
