➤ Bulloch County Sheriff's Office

▲ T.R. SMITH ROAD — A man argued with others, threatened to harm himself and had a shotgun in his possession before he ran into the woods, upset over a recent breakup. He left the gun under a sofa, but because he is a convicted felon, warrants were taken for his arrest for possession of the gun.

▲ EMANUEL COUNTY JAIL — Bulloch County sheriff's K9 Dutch performed a search of several cells and located a small amount of marijuana.

▲ NEVILS GROVELAND ROAD — Deputies investigated a suspicious report of someone pointing a gun at another.

▲ CAPTAIN CONE COURT — A man reported theft of diesel and a battery from a tractor on his property.

▲ HIGHWAY 301 SOUTH — A woman said her boyfriend's son texted him, asking for help, stating he could not breathe. When OnStar located the man, he was fine. He said he got dust in his lungs while doing yard work but fell asleep before telling family he was OK.

▲ OLD RIVER ROAD SOUTH — Deputies responded to a reported domestic dispute that turned out to be verbal in nature.

▲ CYPRESS LAKE ROAD — A couple called deputies to document that a man they had known since his childhood knocked on their door, came in and asked for food, money and a ride.

▲ PLAYOFF COURT — Deputies responded to a reported battery and dispute.

▲ ELDORA ROAD — Deputies responded to a reported fight between several people, but the offending parties were not at the scene when they arrived.

▲ BURKHALTER/LANGSTON CHAPEL ROADS — A woman walking in the roadway with a crowbar was arrested for pedestrian under the influence.


➤ Statesboro Police Department 

▲ LANIER DRIVE — Police responded to an armed robbery and, after investigation, arrested a suspect.

▲ BUCKHEAD DRIVE — A man was arrested in connection to the armed robbery of a business.

▲ PACKINGHOUSE ROAD — Police investigated an aggravated assault and family violence case.


➤ Georgia State Patrol Post 45

▲ Last week, troopers investigated 14 crashes with 20 reported injuries.

▲ Troopers also arrested seven drivers on DUI charges, and issued 15 citations and one warning for seat belt violations, three citations and four warnings for child restraint violations, and 51 citations and 69 warnings for speeding.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police 

▲ Officers issued 22 traffic citations and seven traffic warnings and assisted six motorists.

▲ EAGLE VILLAGE — Someone reported a theft.

In a separate call, someone was judicially referred to university authorities for discipline over an alcohol violation. The person was not arrested or criminally charged.

▲ BERMUDA RUN ROAD — Someone was arrested on DUI, failure to maintain lane and license violation charges.

▲ FREEDOM'S LANDING — Officers responded to a panic alarm as well as three separate reports of a suspicious person.

▲ AGENCY ASSIST — Officers assisted Statesboro police on unspecified calls at the following locations: Cambridge at Southern — The Palms, Chandler Road (three calls), Freedom's Landing, University Plaza, The Vault, Olympic Boulevard, Tillman Park, and Connection Apartments. Officers assisted Bulloch County sheriff's deputies on an unspecified call on Old Register Road.

▲ I.T. DRIVE — Someone reported a suspicious person.

▲ C-LOT — Officers investigated a reported theft.

In a separate call, a person was arrested on underage possession of alcohol and DUI charges.

▲ PAULSON STADIUM — GSU K9 officers performed a safety sweep.

In a separate call, someone was reported being disorderly in the parking lot.
