Statesboro Police Department
    WEST JONES AVENUE — A man was arrested after a physical altercation with his father.
    EAST MAIN STREET — A woman in a convenience store (unnamed in reports) told police a man who had been in an altercation with her son threatened her with harm and said he would meet her in the parking lot.

Bulloch County Sheriff’s Department
    BLACK CREEK CHURCH ROAD — A man reported the theft of a cast-iron farm bell and post.
    WILLIAM JAMES MIDDLE SCHOOL — A teacher reported a student stole items from her desk while she was out of the room. The child admitted doing so.
    SOUTHERN COMFORT SUBDIVISION — A woman expressed concern her nephew was not attending school and suspects drug activity in the home.
    NEVILLE DAIRY ROAD — A woman told deputies another woman was harassing her via Facebook messages regarding an upcoming court case regarding a previous altercation.
    RV SHELBY POND LANE — A man said he and a woman were leaving their rented home due to not being able to pay rent. He said the landlord shot a child’s car seat while they were loading up their belongings. The landlord was waiting in a nearby field when deputies arrived and had several possessions belonging to the renters in his truck. He admitted having shot the car seat and said he found the items he had in his truck in the woods. He said the renters owed rent and a power bill. Deputies noticed a strong odor of alcohol, and the landlord said he had consumed one beer. One of his workers took him home, and the renter’s property was returned.
 
Georgia Southern University Police
    Officers issued 13 traffic citations and one traffic warning and assisted two motorists.
    TECH CORNER — A woman reported being assaulted by an unknown male.  Later she told police she had seen him around campus and that he may live in a certain building, then gave police a last name of the suspect. When police located the man, who was seen on surveillance video, he said he and the woman had just ended a casual relationship.  He said she was not happy with the break-up and sent him harassing texts and a photo of a knife, along with a threat to cut off his genitals. He said the altercation at the Tech Corner started when he passed by, she called out to him using vulgarities, and a physical struggle ensued. Both were charged in the incident.
